Akash De, Ph.D., currently serves as a Finance Officer of Quantitative Modeling and Analytics at Wintrust Financial Corporation, focusing on developing and monitoring mathematical and statistical models for CECL compliance, including PD, LGD, and EAD models. Previously, Akash held the position of Analyst in the same department, conducting valuation and forecasting analyses with expertise in various quantitative models such as Top-Down Models and Predictive Loan-Level Logistic Regression Models. Akash's academic experience includes serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where courses on Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, and Econometrics were taught, as well as a Guest Lecturer at Gokhale Memorial Girls College. Educational achievements include a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Calcutta, where a Bachelor of Science in Economics was also obtained.
