Ian Burns

Ian Burns is a highly experienced legal professional with significant expertise in regulatory and mortgage law. Since July 2014, Ian has served as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at Wintrust Financial, providing legal counsel for the residential mortgage division and overseeing compliance matters for various financial services. Prior to this role, Ian was a Staff Attorney at Dovenmuehle Mortgage, managing litigation and compliance for residential loan subservicing. Ian began a legal career as an Associate at Hauselman Rappin & Olswang, Ltd. and Belongia, Shapiro & Hynes, LLP, focusing on commercial and general litigation. Ian holds a J.D. from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law and a B.A. in History from Purdue University.
