Matt Gambs

Matt Gambs serves as the Chief Impact Officer at Wintrust Financial, a position held since January 2008, where leadership of the Community Impact team focuses on enhancing relationships with stakeholders to benefit local communities. Prior experience includes roles as CEO at Diamond Bancorp/Diamond Bank from 2008 to January 2014, and President & CEO at BB&T Bancorp from August 1999 to December 2007, after which Gambs held the title of EVP and COO. Additionally, experience includes serving as Human Resources Manager at PGT Industries and Vice President at Alpine Banks of Colorado. Matt Gambs also served as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps from May 1988 to May 1994. Academic achievements include a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science from Regis University and a Master's degree from North Central College.
