Rodrigo Ramirez is a skilled process engineer with expertise in process optimization and metallurgy. Currently at WMC since March 2019, Rodrigo has focused on driving the 5S program, minimizing downtimes, and collaborating with plant managers on automation initiatives. Previous experience includes a research engineer role at Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht, where Rodrigo specialized in the casting, characterization, and analysis of light alloys, specifically magnesium and aluminum. Additionally, as a maintenance technician at Servicios de Transportes Eléctricos del D.F., extensive work involved both light and heavy preventive maintenance on electric trains, along with electrical and mechanical system evaluations. Rodrigo holds a Master’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering from ESIQIE and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Instituto Politécnico Nacional ESIME.
