Omar Hussein (He/Him)

Omar Hussein is an Applied AI Engineer at WiseLayer, where he utilizes his strong background in artificial intelligence and software engineering to deliver cutting-edge AI solutions. Omar holds an M.S. in Data Science from Katz, Yeshiva University, where he received the Outstanding Student Award, and a B.S. in Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence from the University of Nottingham.

Prior to joining WiseLayer, Omar worked as a Senior Software Engineer / ML Engineer, where he spearheaded the development of AI-driven full-stack applications. His work involved integrating state-of-the-art models , implementing advanced image processing tools, and designing AI-based search and description generation services using large language models (LLMs). He also played a key role in ensuring efficient deployment using Docker across development and production environments.

Omar’s expertise spans deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, MLOps, full-stack development, Graph Neural Networks and cloud architecture. He is passionate about building AI systems that drive innovation and deliver impactful results.
