Mark Blurton

Mark Blurton has worked in the technology industry since 2000. Mark began their career at Mentor Technologies as a Software Developer/Team Lead, where they were promoted to Lead vLab eLearning Product Team in January 2001. In the same year, they moved to Alabanza Corporation as a Software Development Team Lead. In 2003, they joined Streamsage (a division of Comcast) as a Software Developer. In 2005, they were hired by Comcast Interactive Media as a Principal Engineer, and was later promoted to Director of Software Development and Senior Director of Software Product Management. In 2015, they joined DrFirst, Inc. as a Senior Platform Engineering Manager, and in 2017 they became the Director of Engineering at Wisewire Ed.

Mark Blurton attended the University of Guelph from 1987 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computing and Information Science. Mark then returned to the University of Guelph from 1993 to 1995, where they completed a Master of Science in Computer Science.
