Winifred Ereyi

Winifred Ereyi has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Winifred currently serves as the Head of Business Development for WITI Africa, a role that they began in January 2022. In this position, they are responsible for promoting collaboration and driving innovation in the technology industry in Africa. Prior to their current role, Winifred held the position of Network Advocate at WITI, where they organized events and built inclusive communities to empower tech innovators and professionals.

In 2019, Winifred founded eWirecommunications, a professional services organization that focuses on leadership development and sustainable community development to meet the UN Sustainable Development Goals. As the CEO/Founder of eWirecommunications, they provided speaking, coaching, advocacy, mentoring, and leadership training services.

Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Winifred worked as the CEO/Founder of ThinkSTEM Foundation starting from 2015. ThinkSTEM Foundation partnered with various organizations to offer coaching, mentoring, and preparation services to minorities, particularly females, from marginalized communities to pursue careers in STEM. Additionally, ThinkSTEM Foundation provided STEM community outreach and advocacy services locally and internationally.

Winifred has also gained valuable experience from their previous roles at Nortel Networks, BT, Telnet Nigeria Limited, and Schlumberger. At Nortel Networks, they served as a Senior Solutions Consultant, Senior Project Engineer, Senior Systems Validation Engineer, and Senior Systems Engineer, managing projects and leading cross-functional teams. At BT, they worked as a Systems Analyst, while at Telnet Nigeria Limited, they held the role of Systems Engineer for Data Communication Networks. Winifred'scareer started as a Field Engineer at Schlumberger.

Winifred Ereyi obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Lagos between 1983 and 1988. Later, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Telecommunication and Information Systems from the University of Essex from 1992 to 1993.
