Benjamin Weitz has a diverse work experience in various industries. Benjamin is currently working as a Game Designer at Wizards of the Coast since January 2021. Prior to this, from 2017 to 2021, they worked as a Software Engineer at Pinterest, specifically focusing on Ads Relevance as a full-stack Machine Learning engineer. During their tenure, they trained multiple machine learning models, ran A/B experiments, and performed feature selection and model parameter hypertuning. Benjamin also took on the responsibility of being the DRI for engineering health on their team.

Benjamin also had an internship experience at Pinterest in 2016, where they worked on the Data Analytics team. Benjamin was responsible for integrating XGBoost, a third-party package for running Gradient Boosted Decision Trees algorithm, into the existing pipeline for distributed machine learning algorithms.

Prior to joining Pinterest, Benjamin worked at Caltech from 2010 to 2012 as a Teaching Assistant. Benjamin taught classes on subjects such as decidability and tractability, as well as algorithmic techniques and data structures.
