T. Rob Brown has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. T. Rob is currently serving as an Instructional Associate Professor of visual communication at Texas A&M International University since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Assistant Professional of visual communication at the same university from August 2017 to September 2022.

Before joining Texas A&M International University, T. Rob Brown worked as a Freelance Photographer at The Kansas City Star from June 2014. T. Rob also worked as a Freelance Photographer at The Joplin Globe, where they later became the Senior Photographer & Staff Writer from June 2000 to January 2014. During their time at The Joplin Globe, they earned numerous state and regional awards for their work.

In addition to their photography career, T. Rob Brown has also been involved in game designing. T. Rob worked as a Freelance Game Designer for Wizards of the Coast and Margaret Weis Productions, focusing on the Star Wars Saga Edition line of roleplaying game books and the Marvel Heroic Roleplaying line of game books since January 2008.

Before venturing into photography and game designing, T. Rob Brown served as a Freelance Photographer for the Associated Press from December 1999. T. Rob also worked as an Adjunct Instructor of communication at Metropolitan Community College-Blue River from January 2017 to May 2017.

During their early career, T. Rob Brown held positions such as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Pittsburg State University from January 2014 to May 2015, teaching Speech Communication 207 classes, and a Photo Editor & Assistant Editor at The Branson Daily News from March 1997 to June 2000.

T. Rob further gained experience as a Staff Writer & Staff Photographer at The Carthage Press from July 1996 to March 1997, where they covered various beats including cops, county government, education, and features. Prior to this, they worked as a Staff Photographer & Staff Writer at The Benton County Daily Record from November 1995 to June 1996, where they focused on photography, film processing, and feature writing.

T. Rob Brown has a diverse education history that includes both formal degrees and additional certifications. T. Rob obtained a Diploma from William Chrisman High School in 1989. Following that, from 1989 to 1993, they attended Missouri Southern State University and earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communication and Media Studies, with a specialization in the Mass Media Option - Print Media Emphasis. During their time at the university, they also studied Communications, Journalism, and Computer Science. In 2003, T. Rob Brown participated in seminars organized by Gen Con, where they focused on Game Design and Storytelling. Later, they pursued further education at Pittsburg State University from 2013 to 2015, completing a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies.

Additionally, T. Rob Brown obtained a certification in "Designing Your Online Course" from QM Quality Matters in December 2021, further expanding their knowledge and skills in the field of education.
