Missy Basone

Missy Basone has extensive work experience in finance and accounting roles. Missy most recently held the position of Chief Financial Officer at WM Synergy in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at BDO USA as a Senior Manager from April 2023 to January 2024. Missy also served as the VP of Finance for TOLA at Trace3 for a period of five months in 2023. From 2018 to 2023, they were the Chief Financial Officer at Set Solutions, a Trace3 Company, where they played a pivotal role in the successful strategic exit of the company. Before that, Missy held roles at BDO USA, LLP as a Senior Business Advisor from 2007 to 2018 and as a Forensic Accountant from 2004 to 2009. Missy also worked as a Finance and Administrative Manager at Addax Petroleum from 2013 to 2017 and as an IT/Multimedia/Project Accountant at Time Inc. from 1998 to 2004.

Missy Basone has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (BBA) with a major in Accounting and International Business from the University of Houston-Downtown. Missy also studied Romance Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics (Spanish and French) at Rutgers University. Missy has a background in Economics, specifically in Development Economics and International Development, from McNeese State University. Additionally, they have pursued Fine/Studio Arts, including Art History, Drawing, and Sculpture, at The Art Institutes. Missy Basone is a candidate for the Certified Management Accountant certification from the IMA | Institute of Management Accountants and is eligible for the Certified Public Accountant certification from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.
