Matt Banks

Matt Banks has been working in the web development and engineering industry since 2006. Matt started their career as Editor-in-Chief of Loot Ninja, a video game review and editorial website. In 2010, they became Web/Multimedia Specialist at SUNY Adirondack, where they created and developed a new website, implemented Drupal CMS with custom themes and modules, and migrated data from legacy proprietary systems. In 2012, they became Front-End Web Developer at Fingerpaint, where they created websites and email templates using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, ExpressionEngine and Drupal. Matt also implemented version control for the agency development team using Git. In 2013, they co-founded Collectiv THKG, a web development and marketing company, and served as Partner & Lead Developer. In 2015, they joined MadGlory as an Engineer, where they built Xbox One applications for game discovery and video streaming services, product dashboards, custom CMS, web comic platforms, content localization platforms, web applications, and websites with React, Redux, Node, Python, and Ruby on Rails. In 2018, they joined PUBG Corporation as Senior Engineer and Team Lead, where they built game client experiences for PC, Xbox One and PS4, web applications, and websites with Angular and Node. In 2019, they became Director of Engineering at Wolfjaw Studios, leading multiple teams to build player facing web applications, administration portals, and internal tools and services. Matt also served as Principal Engineer and Team Lead, building multiple web applications, product dashboards, administration portals, internal tools, content localization platforms, custom CMS, and websites with React, Vue, Node, Python, and Go. In addition, they were the Technical Lead for architecture and implementation of web applications and websites for video streaming platform products. Finally, they are the Owner and Principal Engineer of Kernel Creative Media, where they design and develops responsive web applications and websites, working with graphic designers as needed, and provides photography for clients for web, print, and digital applications.

Matt Banks obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Delaware between 1998 and 2002.
