Salla Simola

Salla Simola is a Senior Data Scientist at Wolt since March 2024, bringing extensive expertise in data analysis and experimentation from previous roles at Storytel, where Salla led the experimentation program, and Aalto University, where Salla completed a PhD in Economics focused on political and labor economics. Experience also includes working as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Michigan and as a Senior Statistician at Statistics Finland, where Salla specialized in short-term statistics. Salla holds a Master's degree in Economics from Aalto University and has participated in academic exchanges at Universidad de Chile and Emporia State University. Early career roles include positions as a Salesperson at Marimekko and research internships at the Government Institute for Economic Research and Bank of Finland.
