Clare Murphy serves as the Director of Business Development at Mastercard since November 2021 and co-chairs the People Pillar of the Mastercard Women's Leadership Network in the UK. Additionally, Clare is a member of Women in Payments since July 2023. Previously, Clare held prominent roles including Chief Commercial Officer at KARMA, Director of International Business Development at Costa Coffee, and Director of Sales Europe at WEX. Clare's extensive background in the travel industry includes positions as Global Director of Sales, Marketing & Customer Support at Travelport, Director at Bouda Ltd, and Commercial Director at Capita Business Travel, where Clare achieved a customer retention rate of 96%. Clare also contributed to Travelport in various account management and customer sales roles spanning over 12 years and began a career at British Airways as a Senior Systems Officer.
