Kara Burns, MSN, NP-C, CHFN, is an experienced Nurse Practitioner currently serving at the University of Kansas Medical Center since June 2016 and holding the position of WomenHeart Champion and Community Educator for the Midwest District at WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease since October 2016. Kara obtained a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Adult/Gerontology Nurse Practitioner from the University of Kansas School of Nursing in 2008 and previously earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Washburn University in 1998.
