Amanda W.

Amanda W. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Amanda started their career as a Public Relations Intern at the Boston Athletic Association in 2008. Amanda then worked as a Certified Personal Trainer and Group Aerobics Instructor at Town Sports International from 2007 to 2009.

From 2009 to 2012, Amanda served in the Peace Corps in Africa. Amanda first worked as a Preventative Health Educator in a rural village, specializing in community-led health initiatives and behavior change communications. Amanda then became the Communications Manager and Field Representative Coordinator for the Stomping Out Malaria in Africa initiative, overseeing program development and managing the online community of field representatives.

After their time in the Peace Corps, Amanda held various roles in management consulting firms. At Schaffer&Combs, they worked as an Intern, Associate, Senior Associate, and Manager, specializing in fellowship program design, human-centered design, UX design, strategic communications, project management, and fundraising.

Amanda also worked as a Senior Strategist at Startnership, an on-demand design accelerator, from 2014 to 2017. Amanda then worked as a Brand, Business, & Strategy Consultant as a Contract Consultant from 2013 to 2018, collaborating with startup, social enterprise, and nonprofit professionals to solve problems and plan for the future of their organizations.

In 2016, Amanda joined Doremus as a Senior Experience Strategist, and later became an Associate Director and then Director of Experience Strategy. In these roles, they focused on experience strategy, user experience research, branding, messaging, and growth planning.

From 2019 to 2020, Amanda worked as an Associate Director of Digital Strategy at RPA, where they specialized in digital strategy and planning.

Most recently, Amanda joined WONGDOODY as a Strategy Director in 2021.
