Sophia Garza

Sophia Garza has a diverse work experience in the banking and legal field. Sophia began their career with Woodforest National Bank in 2005, starting as a Branch Manager and later transitioning to the role of Retail Banker. In 2009, they became a Legal Clerk at the same company. Following this, they joined Merchants Choice Payments Solutions in 2011, first as a Legal Department Director and then as a General Counsel. In 2017, Sophia returned to Woodforest National Bank as an Associate General Counsel, and they currently hold the position of Director of Banking as a Service since April 2022.

Sophia Garza completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at the University of Houston from 2003 to 2005. Sophia then pursued a Juris Doctorate degree in Law at the South Texas College of Law Houston from 2008 to 2011.
