Allen Humpherys

Allen Humpherys has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Allen started their career in 1998 at Granite Engineering and Design, where they worked as an Owner/Professional Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager. In this role, they managed projects and led a team of engineers and designers. Allen also worked closely with customers to develop specifications and documentation. In addition, they held administrative responsibilities as Vice President, overseeing payroll, accounts billable and payable, and financial reporting. Humpherys then joined Boise Cascade Company in 2006, where they held various positions over the years, including Engineering Project Manager, Senior Business Optimization Engineer, and Plant Manager. Allen worked on improving business processes and optimizing operations. From 2021 to 2023, they worked at Woodgrain Millwork as a Continuous Improvement Manager/Special Projects Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Engineering at Woodgrain.

Allen Humpherys obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Idaho State University from 1987 to 1991. Prior to that, they also completed an Associate of Applied Science degree in Design Drafting Technology from the same institution from 1985 to 1987. In addition to their formal education, Allen has obtained several certifications, including Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (ICBB) from The Council for Six Sigma Certification (CSSC) and certifications in The Six Morning Habits of High Performers and Six Sigma Foundations from LinkedIn, all in 2021.
