Azfar Islam

Azfar Islam is a skilled workforce development manager with a robust background in community engagement and program management. Currently serving as the Manager of Workforce Development at WoodGreen Community Services, Azfar oversees multiple high-budget programs aimed at youth and newcomer employment while managing a team of 12 staff members. Previous experience includes a significant role at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto, where Azfar advanced from Program Coordinator to Project Lead and Community Engagement, successfully recruiting over 200 volunteers and establishing strategic corporate partnerships. Azfar's earlier work at the Toronto Foundation for Student Success showcased strong organizational and facilitation skills. Azfar holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminology and Justice from Ontario Tech University and a diploma in Police Foundations from Centennial College.
