Joe Whitehead serves as the Logistics Chief for the Walker County Office of Emergency Management and holds the position of Battalion Chief of the Walker County CERT. With extensive experience in emergency operations, Joe also works as an Assistant for Emergency Operations at Huntsville Independent School District while teaching various technology-related subjects since 1998. Additional roles include First Responder at Woodlands Church and Advocate for Special Education Advocacy and Consulting, assisting parents of special needs children. Previously, Joe was the Assistant Chief at Pine Prairie Volunteer Fire, managing operations and training for the fire department. Joe's educational credentials comprise a Principal certification from Lamar University, a Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Grand Canyon University, a Bachelor’s degree in Educational/Instructional Technology from Sam Houston State University, and an Associate degree in Architectural Drafting from Texas State Technical College Waco.
