Matthew Sluis has diverse experience in the culinary and technology fields. Currently serving as Garde Manger at Le Grand Bistro Américain since May 2022 and as a Cook at Woodmark Hotel & Still Spa since September 2021, Matthew has honed culinary skills in professional kitchen environments. Prior experience includes a Research Assistant role at Oregon Research Institute from August 2018 to April 2020 and a Junior Web Developer position at Leveling The Field, Inc. from September 2017 to May 2018, where Matthew focused on front-end development using ReactJS and gained backend experience with Rails/PostgreSQL. Matthew completed a Web Development Immersive program at General Assembly Seattle, covering full-stack web application development, after earning an Associate of Arts degree in General Studies from Colorado Mountain College from 2009 to 2011.
