Fergus Hohnen

Global Manager Design Technology at Woods Bagot

Fergus Hohnen has extensive work experience in the field of design technology and architecture. Fergus started their career as an Architectural Student at Mitchell Giurgla Thorp Architects in 1992 and then worked as an Architectural Student at Wilson Architects from 1993 to 1994. Fergus also worked as a Tutor for Computing Technology at the University of Queensland from 1992 to 1993. In 1995, they became the CAD Manager at Ground Kent Architects. In 1996, they joined the University of Queensland as a Network Administrator and also worked as a Tutor and Research Assistant in Architectural Computing. From 1997 to 1998, they were a Graduate at Interlandi Blair O'Connor Architects. In 1998, Hohnen started their long-time tenure at Woods Bagot, initially as an Architectural Graduate and then progressing through various roles, including Studio CAD Manager, Group Project Systems Manager, and Group Design Technology Manager. Their most recent position at Woods Bagot was as the Global Manager - Design Technology, starting in 2017.

Fergus Hohnen completed their Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) degree in Architecture at The University of Queensland from 1991 to 1997. After a gap of a few years, they pursued further education and obtained their Masters of Computing (with distinction) degree in Computer Science from RMIT University from 2001 to 2010.
