Larry Bowden Jr

Larry Bowden Jr, Dr. h.c., P.E. serves as the Analytics Team Lead at Woodside Energy, where responsibilities include overseeing a new Analytics and Synthesis Engineering organization since September 2024. Prior to this role, Larry held the position of Innovation Data Scientist at Chevron from January 2018 to September 2024, focusing on machine learning, AI, and disruptive technologies to enhance the company's competitive edge. Larry's experience also includes serving as a Reliability Engineer at Chevron Pipeline, working on pipeline integrity and risk processes, as well as tenure as a Senior Engineer at Williams, optimizing operations through hydraulic modeling and infrastructure improvements. Early engineering expertise was developed at Energy Solutions International and Puffer Sweiven, where projects encompassed hydraulic modeling, leak detection, and process control implementation. Larry holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston.
