John Godsman

John Godsman is the Corporate Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for Woodward. In this role, John and his team support the development and execution of Woodward’s long-term strategic direction, working together with senior leadership across the enterprise. John also has responsibility for leading Woodward’s digital transformation efforts as part of the company’s Forward 2030 Strategy.

John joined Woodward in May 2022. Most recently, John was Group Vice President of Business Development with General Electric from 2019, and prior to this was the Business Development Leader for GE Aviation from 2010. Previously, John worked for Deutsche Bank, leading the global Aerospace and Defense practice, and Credit Suisse in the US and Europe Industrials and M&A Groups. John’s experience in corporate strategy, aerospace/industrials, M&A and licensing is a great fit for the role at Woodward.

John holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago, and a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College.
