Peter Frumhoff

Peter Frumhoff is an accomplished academic and policy advisor with extensive expertise in environmental science and public policy. Currently, Peter serves as a Lecturer at Harvard University Center for the Environment and as a Senior Science and Policy Advisor at the Woodwell Climate Research Center. Peter has a rich history with the Union of Concerned Scientists, having held multiple senior roles, including Director of Science and Policy and Chief Climate Scientist from 2007 to 2021. Peter has also contributed to various educational institutions, including as Cox Visiting Professor at Stanford University and Adjunct Professor at Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University. Peter's foundational academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Ecology from the University of California, Davis, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Biology from UC San Diego.
