Joseph Seppi

Geospatial Sector Leader, Senior Vice President at Woolpert

Joseph Seppi has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies. Joseph began their career at L. Robert Kimball & Associates in 1992 as a Technician/Project Manager. Joseph then joined EA Engineering, Science & Technology, Inc. in 1994 as a Mapping Scientist. In 1997, they moved on to Michael Baker Jr as a Project Manager. In 2008, they joined Woolpert as a Program Director and remained in this role until 2015. Joseph subsequently became the Market Director, National Security at Woolpert from 2014 to 2017. Currently, they hold the position of Geospatial Sector Leader, Senior Vice President at Woolpert. Throughout their career, Joseph has demonstrated expertise in business development, team management, and advocating for African National Mapping Programs.

Joseph Seppi has a diverse education history. In 1989, they enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania and obtained a Master's degree in Regional Planning in 1991. Joseph then pursued further education at Stockholm University from 1992 to 1993 but did not complete their Ph.D. in Physical Geography. Prior to that, Joseph studied at Denison University from 1985 to 1989, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology.

In addition to their formal degrees, Joseph has obtained various certifications throughout their career. In 1995, they became a Certified Mapping Scientist (CMS) through the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing. Joseph also holds a Master's Certificate in Project Management from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business, which they obtained in January 2009. Joseph further strengthened their project management skills by achieving the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in February 2009. Moreover, Joseph completed a Leadership Certificate program offered by the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2015. Additionally, they have attended the Center for Creative Leadership, where they completed a program in October 2015.
