Dr. Claudia Achatschitz has a diverse background in project management and research. Dr. Claudia is currently serving as the Head of Project Management Office at woom since October 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Manager of PMO at woom from September 2021 to September 2022. Before joining woom, Dr. Achatschitz worked at Global Blue as a Senior Project Manager from January 2014 to January 2021, where they managed software development projects and led international project teams. Dr. Claudia also had experience as a Senior Project Management Expert at Nabucco Gas Pipeline International from June 2013 to November 2013, and as a Project Manager at Mentz Datenverarbeitung from March 2012 to May 2013. Dr. Achatschitz gained international project management experience during their time at TomTom, where they worked as an International Project Manager, overseeing geographic data production projects in CEE countries and leading offshore software development projects in India from 2007 to 2012. Dr. Claudia also played a significant role in building the initial digital navigation database for Romania in collaboration with Dacia Romania. Additionally, Dr. Achatschitz worked as a Research and Teaching Assistant at Vienna University of Technology from October 2003 to November 2007 and as a Technical Consultant at Aperture Software GmbH from June 2002 to October 2003, where they provided expertise in computer-aided facility management applications, including project coordination, product management, support, and training.

Dr. Claudia Achatschitz has an extensive education history. Dr. Claudia obtained their PhD in Geoinformation and Cartography from Technische Universität Wien, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Prior to that, they earned a Magister der Naturwissenschaften degree in Geography / Geographic Information Systems from Paris Lodron Universität Salzburg. Dr. Claudia'sstudies in Salzburg took place from 1999 to 2002. In 1998, they participated in a study abroad program at The University of Kansas, focusing on Geografische Information Sciences and Cartography. Dr. Achatschitz began their educational pursuits at Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz, where they completed their initial studies in Environmental Sciences from 1995 to 1998.
