Simone Crowley

Simone Crowley has a diverse work experience spanning various design roles and industries. Simone currently works at Workhuman as a Product Design Manager, overseeing DesignOps. Prior to this, they held the position of Product Design Manager at the same company. Before joining Workhuman, Simone was a Senior Product Designer at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, where they focused on simplifying and enhancing user experiences across multiple products. Simone also volunteered for the Women in Technology employee resource group during their time there. Prior to their role at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Simone worked at Facebook as a Visual & UX Design Lead, managing a team of designers and translating the Facebook Gaming brand message across various digital platforms. Simone also has experience working as a Visual & UX Designer at Fabrik Creative Media and as a Design Team Lead at Cleverbug. Simone's early career includes roles as a Visual & Digital Designer at M + C Group, a Senior Visual Designer at The POP Company, and a Visual & Motion Designer at The Digital Network Group. Simone also founded an Art and Design Studio called Paper Lantern Studios, where they managed the day-to-day operations. Simone's work experience began with a role as an IT Sales Executive at Irish Times Training. Throughout their career, Simone has demonstrated expertise in various design disciplines, user research, project management, and team leadership.

Simone Crowley obtained a Certificate (Level 9) in Fundamentals of User Experience (UX) Design from Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology from 2017 to 2018. In 2019, they attended the UX Design Institute for Advanced UX Research, though no degree was specified. In 2016, Simone earned a Certificate in User Experience from the UX Design Institute. They also attended Makeshop @ Science Gallery in 2015, where they studied How to Make an App.

Simone's prior educational experiences include completing an Advanced Diploma in Web Development from Dublin Business School in 2012 to 2013. In 2007, they earned a Diploma in Desktop Publishing Master Course from IACT. Additionally, they obtained a Certificate in Flash ActionScript 3.0 from Big Wave Media Training in 2009, a Certificate in Adobe After Effects from New Media Technology College in the same year.

Simone also attended several training programs and courses. They participated in training programs such as Irish Times Training in 2005 to 2007, ICS Skills in 2006, New Media Technology Training in 2003, and Arthouse in 2000. Furthermore, they completed a Degree in Design and Communications in Animation from Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology from 1996 to 1999. In addition to their formal education, Simone has obtained various certifications. They received a Teaching Complex Topics certification from LinkedIn in December 2020. In October 2020, they obtained certification from ASU GSV Summit for attending the ASU GSV Virtual Summit 2020. Simone completed certifications in Interaction Design: Flow, UX Deep Dive: Mapping, and Figma for UX Design from LinkedIn in September 2020 and achieved certifications in Sketch Master: Getting Started with Sketch, User Experience Design in Sketch, and SVG Workflows in Sketch from Sketch Master in June 2020. They also hold a Membership Certificate from The Interaction Design Foundation obtained in July 2017.
