Jessica Lapham, PhD, has a diverse range of work experience in various roles. Jessica began their career in 2013 as a Medical Social Work Intern at Centura Health - St Anthony Hospital. In 2014, they worked as a Social Work Intern at Denver Botanic Gardens. From 2015 to 2016, they served as a Development Coordinator at the Adaptive Sports Center at Crested Butte Mountain Resort.

In 2016, Jessica took on the role of Graduate Program Coordinator & Advisor at Western Colorado University. Jessica then transitioned to becoming a Development & Grant Consultant in 2017, a position they held until 2021.

In 2018, Jessica joined the University of Denver's Graduate School of Social Work, where they worked as an MSW Field Liaison and Adjunct Faculty member. Most recently, in 2023, Jessica started working as a Research Manager at WorkMoney. Overall, their experience spans roles in research, academia, program development, and social work.

Jessica earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the University of Southern California in 2008. Shortly after, they pursued their Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at the University of Denver: Graduate School of Social Work, graduating in 2015.

Continuing their academic journey, Jessica then completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Social Welfare from the University of Washington, with an expected graduation date in 2023.
