Michael M.

Michael M. has a strong background in DevOps engineering and infrastructure automation. MICHAEL started their career at Craft Silicon as the Information Technology Infrastructure Team Lead, where they ensured optimal system performance, security, and scalability. During their tenure, they contributed to the development of various projects, including a local taxi app, a micro-lending platform, and a comprehensive mobile money solution.

Michael then joined Plugin as a DevOps Engineer, where they focused on development process optimization, scalability enhancement, infrastructure automation, data streaming and processing, and system stability and security. MICHAEL played a vital role in streamlining development workflows using Jenkins and implementing containerization solutions using Docker and Kubernetes. Michael also demonstrated expertise in infrastructure automation utilizing Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.

After that, they worked at dentsu as a Senior DevOps Engineer, actively applying their skills in Terraform scripting, monitoring, visualization, CI/CD pipeline development, Kubernetes application packaging, cloud infrastructure enhancement, and Kubernetes migration. MICHAEL successfully completed a robust migration to Kubernetes, achieving enhanced deployment fluidity and improving operational efficiency.

Most recently, Michael became a Senior DevOps Engineer at Zebra Technologies, where they spearheaded critical DevOps initiatives focused on the Zebra Small Mobile Printer project. MICHAEL directed the adoption of modern practices to enhance product development and deployment processes, significantly improving infrastructure provisioning and management efficiency.

Michael M. attended Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Information Technology. In addition, they earned a certification in the NetRiders CCENT Skills Competition from Cisco in 2017.
