Ruona Oruovo, MBM

Ruona Oruovo, MBM has a range of work experience in sales, marketing, and business development roles. Currently, Ruona serves as the Regional Business Manager for Workpay, where they are responsible for expanding the company's fintech, HR-tech, and payroll solutions across West Africa. Prior to this, Ruona was a Sales/Marketing Manager at Shodrex Technology, where they optimized marketing and pricing strategies, analyzed market trends, and increased brand awareness and market share. They also have experience as a Corporate Sales/Client Relationship Lead at Engineering Automation Technology Limited, where they managed creative projects, implemented direct mail campaigns, and developed and maintained relationships crucial to the company's success. Before that, Ruona held roles at MERB Resources and Multicell Mobile Network (MNIL) as a Business Development Manager and Sales Representative/Consultant respectively. They also gained experience as a Business Development Intern (IT) at Airtel Nigeria, where they conducted research, devised strategies, and executed promotional activities.

Ruona Oruovo, MBM, holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Business Management from Ignatius Ajuru University, which they obtained from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree in Business/Commerce, General at Delta State University, Nigeria, from 2014 to 2018.

In addition to their formal education, Ruona Oruovo has earned several certifications. Ruona obtained certifications in Sales Management, Sales Enablement, Frictionless Sales, and Inbound Sales from HubSpot Academy in 2022. In 2019, they obtained a certification in Customer Relationship Management from Inspint International Career Center, which is accredited by IBMI (International Business Management) London. Ruona also obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from Inspint International Career Center in 2019.

Furthermore, Ruona Oruovo has achieved membership in the Institute of Arts Management Professionals, obtaining an Associate Member of Institute of Arts and Management and Professional Studies certification in 2018. Ruona also holds a Human Resource Manager certification from the same institution, earned in 2018.
