Derrick Abincha has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Derrick started their career as a Sales Intern at ADLifts™ in 2012, where they gained valuable experience in sales and marketing. Derrick then became a Sales and Marketing Associate at the same company, where they specialized in providing digital advertising solutions for businesses across East Africa.

In 2014, Derrick took on the role of Assistant Manager Sales Marketing at ADLifts™. Derrick was responsible for forming strategic partnerships, conducting market research, and leading a sales and marketing team. During their time in this role, they successfully negotiated sales agreements and implemented effective marketing campaigns.

In 2019, Derrick ventured into entrepreneurship and founded 10X Growwwth, a company that supports founders with their growth journeys. Derrick worked with over 30 founders across different industries, providing guidance in areas such as fundraising, go-to-market strategy, and scaling.

In 2021, Derrick joined Workpay as the Head of Sales - Emerging Markets (West Africa), where they are responsible for sales growth in the region. Prior to this role, they held positions at Workpay as a Sales Manager, Inbound Sales Lead, and Sales Account Manager. As the Sales Manager, they achieved sales targets and guided the SDR team. In their role as the Inbound Sales Lead, they developed marketing strategies and spearheaded new business development. As a Sales Account Manager, they managed key accounts and ensured clear communication with clients during uncertain times caused by the pandemic.

Derrick is also an Advisor to the Board at Alatpres and served as a Project Manager for the first-ever Employee of the Year Awards, powered by Workpay. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated exceptional sales performance, successfully closed high-value deals, and received recognition for their achievements.

Derrick Abincha completed their education in a chronological order. Derrick obtained a Diploma in Philosophy from the University of Nairobi in the field of Philosophy in 2013. After that, they pursued a Diploma in Business Administration at Kenya Methodist University from 2013 to 2014. Derrick then continued their education at Kenya Methodist University, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from 2014 to 2018. In addition to their formal education, Derrick also obtained various certifications in fields such as data visualization, digital advertising, inbound sales, website optimization, critical thinking, sales management, and inbound marketing. These certifications were acquired from institutions like Kaggle, HubSpot Academy, HubSpot, LinkedIn, and Google between 2018 and 2021.
