Elaine D.

Elaine D. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and organizations. Elaine began their career as a Senior Auditor at SGV & Co. in 1984 and worked there until 1989. Elaine then moved on to ISC Systems Asia Pacific Ltd/ISC-Olivetti as a Manager of Finance & Administration from 1989 to 1995. In 1995, Elaine joined DBS Bank as Vice President Internal Audit, a role they held until 2001. During the same period, they also served as Vice President, Internal Audit at ASB Realty and affiliates.

From 2002 to 2003, Elaine worked as a Senior Operational Auditor at BC Liquor Distribution Branch before joining WorkSafeBC. At WorkSafeBC, they held multiple positions including Audit Manager from 2003 to 2011, and Director, Internal Audit from 2011 to the present. Their work at WorkSafeBC earned their recognition for achievement in public sector risk management and internal audit.

Elaine was also heavily involved with The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. from 2009 to 2021. Elaine served as Vice President from 2009 to 2012, President from 2012 to 2014, and Governor of the Vancouver Chapter from 2014 to 2018. Elaine was also a District Representative for Canada West from 2017 to 2021. Additionally, Elaine was a member of the Audit Committee at IAIABC from 2012 to 2017.

Throughout their career, Elaine has demonstrated their expertise in internal audit and risk management. Elaine has taken on leadership roles, contributed to professional organizations, and received recognition for their work.

Elaine D. completed their education with an MBA in Masters in Business Administration from Ateneo Graduate School of Business in 1999. Prior to that, they obtained a BSBA in Accounting from the University of the East in 1984. Elaine also holds additional certifications, including Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc., obtained in 2012 and 2000 respectively. Elaine also obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the Philippine Institute of Public Accountants in 1985.
