Sophie Bailey

Sophie Bailey has a diverse work experience. Sophie is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of WorkTripp, a digital platform that helps teams plan, book, and measure gatherings as part of their work cycle. Sophie is passionate about connecting distributed teams and promoting human connection.

Before founding WorkTripp, Sophie was the Founder of The Edtech Podcast. Sophie launched the podcast in 2016 and published over 250 episodes, focusing on improving the dialogue between education and technology for better innovation and impact.

Sophie also founded Tangential Brain, where they used their expertise in curating and assessing content and audiences to meet client briefs. Their work included judging various events and curating summits to bring together impactful content and communities.

Prior to these ventures, Sophie held leadership roles at Hyve Group plc, where they were the Head of Content for Bett and Event Director for Bett Latam. Sophie was responsible for the content strategy of the world's largest education technology event and led a team of researchers to deliver relevant content and speakers.

Sophie's earlier experience includes roles at Informa Telecoms and Media, where they served as a Portfolio Manager and Head of Best Practice, as well as a Conference Manager and Senior Conference Producer. Sophie successfully grew delegate attendance and sponsorships for the MVNO Industry Summit Series.

At the start of their career, Sophie worked as an Editorial Assistant at REAKTION BOOKS LIMITED, where they handled a variety of editorial tasks and worked closely with the publisher. Sophie also worked as a Researcher and Runner at Talkback Productions.

Sophie Bailey obtained a First BA Hons degree in English Literature from the University of Sussex between 2002 and 2005. In 2017, they received a certification in Behavioural Economics from 42courses.
