Matt Watson

Matt Watson has over 17 years of experience in supply chain management. Matt currently holds the position of Head of Supply Chain at Workwear Group since December 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Supply Chain at MECCA Brands from April 2022 to September 2022.

Before joining Workwear Group and MECCA Brands, Matt served as Head of Supply Chain - Online Operations and Head of Supply Chain Optimisation at Officeworks from August 2021 to March 2022 and November 2020 to August 2021, respectively. Matt also held the position of National Retail Support Manager at Officeworks from August 2019 to November 2020.

Matt's earlier experience includes working at Coles as a Supply Chain Manager in various roles, such as Health/Beauty/Baby, Homecare, General Merchandise/Apparel & Tobacco, and Working Capital. Matt managed a team and was responsible for supplier development, inventory management, KPI delivery, and ensuring availability across a nationwide store network.

In addition, Matt gained valuable experience at Asda, where they held positions such as Supply Chain Development Manager, Supply Chain Manager - Frozen Food, Supply Chain Manager - Electronics, Supply Chain Manager - Toys & Sports, and Senior Supply Chain Analyst. During their time at Asda, they focused on cost-saving efficiencies, stock flow optimization, supplier communication, and store availability.

Matt's supply chain management career started with an international placement at Asda during their university degree, where they worked as a Supply Chain Analyst on the Home team.

Overall, Matt Watson has a strong background in supply chain management, with experience at reputable companies like Workwear Group, MECCA Brands, Officeworks, Coles, Asda, and IKEA (during their time at Nottingham).

Matt Watson completed their education at Sheffield Hallam University from 2004 to 2008, earning a Bachelor of Arts Second Class Honours (first division) degree in Business Studies. Prior to that, they attended Kimberley Sixth Form from 2002 to 2004, where they obtained three A levels in English Literature, History, and Media Studies.
