Michal Certik

Michal Certik is a highly experienced quantitative risk professional currently serving as a Senior Quantitative Risk Officer at The World Bank since March 2014, specializing in the development and validation of various financial risk models and coding in languages such as C#, Python, and SQL. Michal is also the President and Founder of Helpi, a non-profit organization focused on promoting sharing centers to address social issues like hunger and poverty. Past roles include positions at the European Central Bank, State Street Bank, and the European Investment Bank, alongside academic experience as an Assistant Professor at the University of Luxembourg. Michal holds a Ph.D. in Discrete Models and Algorithms from Charles University and a Master's in Financial Mathematics from the University of Luxembourg.
