Romain Poivet is a seasoned professional in climate and energy engagement, currently serving as the Climate and Energy Engagement Lead at World Benchmarking Alliance since October 2022. Poivet holds multiple roles, including Convenor of the National Standardization Experts Group on Mitigation and Adaptation of Climate Change at Groupe AFNOR and Convenor of ISO TC207/SC7/WG4, focusing on the quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions and removals at the organizational level. Prior experience includes a significant tenure at ADEME as Coordinateur of the ACT Initiative and as a Climate Project Manager, as well as work at SECURIT Ingénierie in environmental protection and carbon balance. Poivet earned a Diplôme d'ingénieur from Ecole nationale supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Bourges, specializing in industrial and environmental risk management.
