Lead, Generative AI & Metaverse Value Creation at World Economic Forum

Connie Kuang's work experience includes a range of roles in various companies and industries. They are currently working at the World Economic Forum as the Lead for Metaverse & Generative AI Value Creation, a position they have held since April 2023. Prior to this, they were the Lead for Metaverse Value Creation at the same company from April 2022 to March 2023.

Before joining the World Economic Forum, Connie worked as a freelance brand and strategy consultant from March 2021 to April 2022. They also served as the Director of Marketing at Felix & Paul Studios, an immersive entertainment studio, from March 2019 to February 2021. In this role, they led the design and delivery of creative, communications, and go-to-market strategies, and collaborated with organizations such as NASA and TIME Inc.

Connie's work experience includes a sabbatical and special projects as a world traveler from May 2017 to February 2019. During this time, they traveled to 23 countries, hiked North Africa's highest peak, explored cities along the Trans-Siberian train, and worked with the startup "Share with Oscar" in Sydney, Australia, to streamline digital marketing and partnerships.

They also worked as the Director of Brand and Partnerships at Chefs Plate, a meal-kit delivery service, from December 2015 to May 2017. Connie played a crucial role in expanding the service nationwide and developing branded content teams and partnership strategies.

Prior to that, Connie held various brand management positions at Mondelēz International from 2011 to 2015, working with brands such as Maynards, HALLS, Cadbury Dairy Milk, and North America Candy & Cough. They also gained marketing experience as a marketing intern at Cadbury plc. in 2010.

Connie's earlier work experience includes roles as a media researcher at Queen's University in 2009 and a marketing strategy intern at Canwest in 2009.

Connie Kuang attended Smith School of Business at Queen's University from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree. During the same period, they also pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Media Studies at Queen's University. In 2010, Connie briefly studied at ESSEC Business School as part of their Erasmus program.
