Innovation And Hackathon Lead At Global Alliance For Trade Facilitation at World Economic Forum

Ines Knaepper has a diverse and extensive work experience. Ines started their career in 1998 as a Sales Manager at Freytag & Petersen GmbH & Co, and worked in customer administration at Thomson Reuters (Markets) SA from 2007 to 2012. In 2013, they worked as a Project Consultant at CERN, performing stakeholder analysis and identifying project requirements. From 2014 to 2020, Ines served as the Executive Director and Co-Founder of THE Port association, where they managed humanitarian innovation projects and organized hackathons. In 2016, they became the High-School Students Internship Programme Manager at CERN, overseeing outreach events and supervising administrative staff. In 2019, they joined the Social Solutions Research association as a Senior Event Manager, where they planned and executed a large-scale dissemination event. In 2020, Ines joined the World Economic Forum as the Innovation and Hackathon Lead at the Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation. Throughout their career, Ines has demonstrated their expertise in project management, communication strategy planning, consultancy, and bridging the gap between various organizations.

Ines Knaepper holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration from Technische Universität Dortmund, which they completed from 2001 to 2007. Prior to that, from 1998 to 2001, they attended Robert-Schumann-Berufskolleg, where they obtained a degree in Import and Export trade as a Großhandelskauffrau. Ines completed their secondary education at Mallinckrodt-Gymnasium from 1989 to 1998, earning their Abitur. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including "Human-Centered Systems Thinking" from IDEO U in May 2023, "Next Generation Trade Facilitation" from the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific in December 2022, and "INNOVATION OF PRODUCTS AND SERVICES: MIT’S APPROACH TO DESIGN THINKING" from Emeritus in June 2022.
