Nasim Pour has a diverse work experience in the energy and sustainability sector. Nasim is currently employed as the Lead for Carbon Removals and Market Innovation at the World Economic Forum since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Energy Analyst at the International Energy Agency from February 2022 to September 2022.

Earlier in their career, Nasim served as a Lead Analyst for Power Markets & Generation at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) from June 2021 to January 2022, where they played a key role in developing net zero strategies for various companies and conducting economic modeling for a Southeast Asian energy sector player.

Before joining BCG, Nasim worked as a Consultant and Analyst at Jacobs, where they gained expertise in economic assessment, data modeling, policy analysis, and carbon management technologies. Their responsibilities included conducting studies on energy policy, greenhouse gas emissions modeling, energy market reforms, system reliability, waste-to-energy technologies, and carbon removal technologies.

Nasim's early work experience includes roles as a Project Assistant, Teaching Assistant, and Senior Researcher at the University of Melbourne, where they conducted research on sustainability frameworks and clean energy pathways. Nasim also served as a Project Lead at Chalmers tekniska högskola.

Additionally, Nasim has pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Renewable Energy systems from the University of Melbourne.
