Katelyn Potter is an experienced security professional with a strong background in international humanitarian operations. Currently serving as Chief Security Officer at the World Food Programme since August 2016, Katelyn specializes in security risk assessments and coordination with local authorities in Chad. Katelyn has held various critical roles at the Danish Refugee Council and the International Rescue Committee, focusing on operational leadership, emergency security management, and technical advisory roles across multiple regions. With a military background as a Naval Communicator in the Canadian Forces, Katelyn is well-versed in contingency planning and training. Katelyn holds a Master’s Degree in International Security from Sciences Po and a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from McMaster University, complemented by studies in International Relations and Commerce.
