World Food Programme
Moctar Aboubacar is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in economic research and policy analysis, currently serving as Lead Economist and Head of Research, Assessment, Monitoring and Evaluation at the World Food Programme since August 2022. Prior roles include Senior Manager at Grab, Head of Evidence, Policy and Innovation at the World Food Programme, and Programme Policy Officer at both the World Food Programme and the Africa Center for Strategic Studies. Moctar began a career in policy research as a Policy Assistant at UNDP, followed by research positions at the International Cooperation Committee, Strategic Outlook, and as a Teaching Assistant at Brown University. Moctar holds a Master's Degree in Public Policy with a focus on Political and Economic Development from Harvard Kennedy School and a B.A. in International Development from Brown University.
