Papa Zoumana Diarra

Papa Zoumana Diarra is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in program management and operational planning within food security and nutrition sectors. Currently serving as Chief of Planning & Operations at African Risk Capacity, part of the World Food Programme since June 2012, Papa Diarra leads the contingency planning process and coordinates the development of contingency plans for African countries participating in the ARC risk pool. Previously, as Head of Office for the United Nations World Food Programme from January 2008 to May 2012, responsibilities included establishing the office, recruiting staff, and building partnerships for nutrition program implementation. Early career roles include Livelihood Programme Coordinator and Food Security Programme Manager at Solidarites International, where Papa Diarra managed diverse projects and teams. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Food Policy from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne and an Engineer's degree in Agricultural Machinery from Universidad Marta Abreu de Las Villas.
