Stephen Burgert

Stephen Burgert is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in gastroenterology and missionary work. Serving as a missionary doctor for World Gospel Mission since October 2009, Stephen has also held the position of Medical Superintendent at Tenwek Hospital from July 2016 to May 2022. Prior to these roles, Stephen practiced as a gastroenterology physician at ROCKWOOD CLINIC from 1985 to 2001. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, complemented by further training at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and clinical experience at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
