Mark Perkins is an experienced leader in global health diagnostics, currently serving as Team Lead for Laboratory Networks at the World Health Organization since April 2018. Prior to this role, Mark held the position of Director at Global Health Diagnostics, where consulting engagements included organizations such as FIND, Gates Foundation, and WHO, focusing on diagnostic technology development and implementation. Mark has a significant background with FIND, serving as Senior Advisor for Outbreaks and Chief Scientific Officer from 2004 to 2016, and previously worked at the World Health Organization in various capacities from 1998 to 2004. Mark's academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Affairs from Austin College and a Doctor of Medicine from UT Southwestern Medical Center.
