Nasreen Jessani

Nasreen Jessani serves as the Head of the Knowledge, Impact, and Policy Cluster and a Senior Fellow at the Institute of Development Studies since September 2023. Currently, Nasreen holds the position of Extraordinary Associate Professor at Stellenbosch University and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Association for Global Health and the Global Forum on Innovation in Health Professional Education at The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. Additionally, Nasreen has been an Associate Faculty member at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a Senior Knowledge Management expert for the World Health Organization. With extensive experience as a Global Public Health Consultant, Nasreen has contributed to significant initiatives in health policy, systems research, and capacity strengthening across various organizations. Educational qualifications include a DrPH in International Health Systems from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and an MSPH in Global Health Policy and Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
