Tatenda Ann Chimbwanda

Tatenda Ann Chimbwanda is a seasoned communications professional currently serving as a Communications Officer for Health Emergencies at the World Health Organization since February 2024, where responsibilities include developing key messages and storylines for emergency preparedness and response. Previously, from April 2020 to December 2023, Chimbwanda was involved in high-profile multimedia communication campaigns in WHO Zimbabwe, handling public information and leading the COVID-19 response communication. Prior experience includes working as a Communications Officer and Knowledge Management Officer at UNICEF, where communication materials were developed for various projects and emergency situations, among other roles. Chimbwanda holds a Master's degree in International Development Management from the University of Bradford and multiple degrees from the University of Cape Town, including a Bachelor of Social Science Honours Degree in Gender and Transformation and Bachelor's degrees in International/Global Studies and International Relations and Gender Studies.
