Ava Steaffens

Strategic Partnerships Director For California at World Relief

Ava Steaffens, JD has had an extensive career in the legal and non-profit sectors. Ava has been the Strategic Partnerships Director for California at World Relief since 2019. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Executive Officer at Christian Community Development Association (CCDA) from 2017 to 2019 and held various other roles within the organization from 2015. Ava was also the President/CEO of KidWorks for 16 years, where they worked on restoring troubled neighborhoods in Santa Ana, CA. Additionally, they served as a Board Member for the City of Santa Ana Recreation and Parks Commission and OneOC. Earlier in their career, Ava worked as an Attorney at the Law Office of Ava Steaffens.

Ava Steaffens earned an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from Miami Dade College in 1975. Ava then went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Florida State University in 1977. Following this, they pursued a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Western State College of Law, graduating in 1981. Ava Steaffens is also an active member of the California State Bar.
