Maria Cote

Maria Cote's work experience includes various roles in different organizations. Maria currently works at World Savvy as the Chief Operating Officer, overseeing daily operations, systems development, and strategic planning. Prior to this, they worked as an Independent Contractor at Feeding America, leading a national initiative and establishing a new department. Maria also has experience as the Director of Human Resources and Title IX Coordinator at Summit Academy OIC, where they implemented HR strategies and developed a competency model. Additionally, they have worked as a Consultant at the Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs, focusing on program evaluation, and as the Director of Growth Strategy and Development at Teach for America, managing relationships with schools and districts. Maria's earlier experience includes roles at College Possible and Minnesota Housing Partnership, where they contributed to program replication and brand development. Maria began their career as a Program Assistant at the University of Minnesota Medical School.

Maria Cote has an extensive educational background. Maria received a Master of Public Affairs degree with a focus on Strategic Organizational Leadership and Development from the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs, University of Minnesota, from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cultural Studies & Comparative Literature from the University of Minnesota, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Maria completed their high school education at Kenwood Academy High School, graduating with a High School Diploma in 1997. Additionally, they hold a Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI, which they attained in August 2019. In 2009, Maria also completed a Mini-MBA in Nonprofit Management from the University of St. Thomas.
