Legal Officer at World Trade Organization

Abu Saleh has extensive work experience in the legal field. Abu started their career as an intern at the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization in 2014. Abu then worked as an Associate and Advocate at Equity Suits (Law Firm) from June 2015 to February 2018. During this time, they also served as an Assistant Professor of Law at Daffodil International University from September 2015 to December 2020. In 2018, Abu Saleh co-founded the Centre for International Arbitration, Trade and Investment Laws in Bangladesh (CIATIL.Bd), where they worked as a Legal Expert until December 2020. In February and March 2019, they briefly served as a Visiting Faculty of International Economic Law at CHANDIGARH UNIVERSITY. Currently, Abu Saleh is working at the World Trade Organization, starting as a Young Professional in January 2021 and later becoming a Legal Officer in January 2022.

Abu Saleh has a strong education background in law and legal studies. From 2008 to 2012, they attended the University of Dhaka, where they earned a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree, focusing on the field of Law. Abu furthered their education at the same university from 2012 to 2013, obtaining a Master of Laws (LLM) degree with a specialization in Comparative Law and Administrative Law. In 2013, Abu Saleh pursued a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in International Law and Legal Studies at the South Asian University, which they completed in 2015. During this time, they also obtained a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) degree in Intellectual Property Law from the Indian Academy of International Law and Diplomacy in 2014. Overall, Abu Saleh has a diverse and comprehensive educational background in law and legal studies.
