Salma Sakr

Salma Sakr is an experienced professional currently serving as the Executive Director of the Presidential Initiative Etkallem Arabi at the Egyptian Ministry of Emigration since October 2021, focusing on intercultural communication plans to bolster the connection of young Egyptian expatriates to their homeland. Salma has been active with the World Youth Forum since February 2018, holding various roles including Associate Minister for Affairs of Egyptian Communities Abroad and Event Coordinator for prominent conferences. Prior to these positions, Salma worked at Amazon as an Account Assistant, facilitating seller transitions and operational improvements, and operated as a freelance EN<>Arabic translator for several organizations from December 2017 to June 2021. Salma's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Global Affairs from The American University in Cairo and a Bachelor’s degree in Language Interpretation and Translation from Al-Azhar University.
